ZHAN Zhikun(詹誌坤), Postdoctoral Fellow (at CityU)

ZHAN Zhikun received her PhD degree in Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Science, in 2011. She then works as a lecturer in Automation Dept. of Yanshan University (Qinhuangdao). Her current research interests are focused on 1) Microfluidic chips for biomedical applications; 2) Bio-particles manipulation and control using ODEP technique in microfluidic chip platform; 3) Fabrication, testing and applications of electronic textile based on CNTs-modified cotton yarn. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Fellow in MBE Dept. of City University of Hong Kong.

Lai Hok Sum Sam received his B. Eng. degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. He is currently working toward a Ph. D. degree in The City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include OEK-based micro/nano manipulation.

Arash TOURKI SAMAEI received his B.S. degree in civil engineering from Islamic Azad University in 2008. After that, he worked towards M.S. degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering, majoring in aerospace-structures and materials, at Iran University of Science and Technology and graduated in March 2011. He is currently pursuing a PhD in mechanical and biomedical engineering with research interests related to bio-science and technology.

Yuliang ZHAO is a research assistant of the Dept. Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. He received his B. Eng. (2005) in Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Hubei University of Automotive Technology and M. Eng. (2007) degrees in School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation in Mechanical Engineering, Northeastern University, China. His current research interests are in the areas of micro-vision for micro/nano biotechnology, biomedical motion assessment.

Yi LI received his B. Eng. degree in Chemistry Analysis from Wuhan Polytechnic University, Wuhan, China, in 2007. He is currently working toward a Ph. D. degree in the Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. His research interests include PDMS-based micro/nano lab-on-a-chip devices and high-throughput neuron cell assay.

Tara LORIMER is a summer (2013) Student Research Assistant in the Mechanical and Biomedical Department at the City University of Hong Kong. She is currently working toward a B. Eng. degree in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Her current research interests include neural engineering and nanotechnology.

WU Cong received her B. Eng. degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from Beihang University (BUAA) in 2012 and MS degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from City University of Hong Kong in 2013. She is currently a Ph. D. student at the Dept. of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering of the City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include Micro/Nano-structure fabrication and Micro/Nano fluidic systems.

WANG Yufan received the Bachelor’s degree of engineering in communication from Beijing Jiaotong University, China , 2014. In addition, he is a volleyball player in varsity volleyball team as well. He won Chinese University Volleyball Association(CUVA) Super Cup Championship in Nanjing in 2010. He is currently pursuing the PhD degree at City University of Hong Kong. His research interests are in the area of wearable cyber physical devices and wireless communications.

Dong WANG received his M. Eng. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Shandong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao, China, in 2007. He is currently working toward a Ph. D. degree in the State Key Laboratory of Robotics, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China. His research interests include Nano-Positioning and Fast Feedback Control.

Longhai LI received his B. Eng. degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology(BUCT), Beijing, China, in 2008. He is currently working toward a Ph. D. degree in the State Key Laboratory of Robotics, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China. His research interests include DNA Origami technique and theory analysis of DNA Origami manipulating based on AFM tip.

WEN Yangdong received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2013. He is currently working towards a Ph. D. degree at the State Key Laboratory of Robotics, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China. His research interests include nano/bio robotics and nano/bio imaging using near-field optics.

Zhao Wenxiu received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing and Its Automation from Dalian University of Technology, China, in 2014. He is now studying in the University of Science and Technology of China, and is working towards a Ph. D. degree in the State Key Laboratory of Robotics, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China. His dissertation work is related to nano/bio imaging and robotics.
